Cultural Competence: Background and Benefits (CE)

This course is the first in a two‐part series designed to teach you the key elements of cultural competence, as a starting point for you to:

  • Optimize your care and services for all residents
  • Maintain compliance with laws and recommendations related to the delivery of culturally competent medical care 

This first course focuses on background and theory, including legal and clinical implications of providing culturally competent care.

The second course in the series (Cultural Competence: Providing Culturally Competent Care) focuses on specific clinical best practices for delivering medical care and services in a culturally competent manner.
