Postoperative Pain Management for Ambulatory Surgery Center Patients (CE)

Patients may experience acute or chronic pain and medical professionals have an obligation to act in the best interests of their patients to manage that pain. When pain is not managed properly or adequately, additional health issues can arise and negatively impact outcome. Nurses are responsible for assessment of pain in their patients. This course will discuss and review information on pain management, such as the definition of pain, the benefits of managing pain effectively, best practices and guidelines for assessing pain and managing pain.
